FBM206 contains eight pulse input channels, while FBM206b provides four pulse input channels and four 0 to 20mA analog output channels. Each input channel receives a 2-wire pulse input signal from the sensor. The input devices include eddy current and turbine flow meters, solid-state or electromechanical contacts, and other sensors with similar pulse outputs. These modules perform the signal conversion required to connect the electrical input signals of the field sensors to the redundant fieldbus
