The GE IS215VCMIH2BC Mark VIe communication interface module is a dedicated VME bus orchestration component of the Mark VIe turbine control system. It operates as a central communication "traffic manager" to guide the data flow between the system's core control nodes, distributed I/O acquisition devices, and IONet network. It defines VME bus communication rules, assigns unique identifiers to each rack mounted device, and supports three types of simplex system architectures suitable for different turbine installation and operation requirements.
