The GE IS230SDIIH1A Mark VIe isolated discrete input module serves as the "signal converter" for the Mark VIe distributed control system, with 16 isolated channels, bridging the gap between field level discrete devices and the central control layer of the system. It receives switch signals from on-site components such as mechanical interlocks, button stations, and motor starter contacts, and adapts to 24V DC, 125V DC, and 115V AC RMS inputs. Specially designed for industrial reliability, it is installed in a narrow cabinet space through DIN rails. Its isolation design eliminates noise interference and provides clean and operable signal data for the control system.
