Description:Each I/O connector pair is equipped with three Faston connectors (arranged in five groups) for supplying power to the I/O module pairs.
The Faston connectors are labeled as follows:
Tx-1: connected to d32 and z32 of the left and right I/O connectorsTx-2: connected to d30 and z30 of the I/O connectors in rack positions 1 to 10Tx-3: connected to d6 and z6 of the left and right I/O connectorsThe Tx-2 pins provide the common 0 Vdc and are interconnected across the I/O backplane. Each Faston pin supports up to 10 A. If any module in the rack requires 24 Vdc internal power (via pins d8 and z8), it must be supplied through the following Faston connections:
T11-3: 24 VdcT11-2: common 0 Vdc The watchdog (WDG), 5 Vdc, and GND signals are distributed to the I/O backplane through connector CN11 (see Figures 3 and 4). Watchdog separation can be achieved by removing jumpers WD1–WD3 and applying an external 5 Vdc or watchdog signal to the lower pin of each jumper.
WD1 controls modules in rack positions 1–3WD2 controls modules in rack positions 4–6WD3 controls modules in rack positions 7–10Additionally, the I/O backplane includes two earth Faston connections (T0 and T11-1). These must be bonded to the I/O rack frame using short wires (2.5 mm² / AWG 14), for example, directly to the nearest bolt on the 19-inch I/O rack.
