The ICS Triplex T8311 is a TMR Expander Interface module for the Trusted control system. It connects the controller chassis to an expander chassis through the Inter-Module Bus (IMB) and the triplicated Expander Bus. A pair of T8311 modules is used in the controller chassis when adding an expander chassis. The module uses a fault-tolerant, triple-modular-redundant design, with separate fault-containment regions and redundant 24 VDC power supplied through the chassis backplane. The T8311 is used when expanding a Trusted system’s hardware configuration and should be matched to the existing chassis arrangement.
