The ICS Triplex T8480 is a 40-channel analogue output module for the Trusted control system, providing 4–20 mA current signals to field devices. It converts control-system output commands into analogue signals for equipment such as control valves and other devices that accept current-loop inputs. The module is designed to operate with the Trusted system’s Field Termination Unit (FTU), which provides the connection to field wiring. The T8480 is classified as non-safety-related but interference-free in the Trusted system. It is used for analogue control outputs where the system architecture requires separation from safety-critical functions.
